Jining, China – December 26, 2025 – ROADLOVIN, the fast-growing brand in intelligent vegetation-management equipment, today announced that its Skid Steer Forestry Mulcher has completed over 1,000 hectares of hill-side clearing across China, Europe and North America with zero structural failures and up to 50 % faster cycle times than traditional excavator-mounted heads. Rated for 30–45° slopes and powered by any skid-steer loader from 75 hp to 120 hp, the unit turns standing timber up to 20 cm diameter into 3–5 cm mulch in a single pass, making it the most cost-effective way to convert over-grown hills into firebreaks, orchard terraces or solar rows.
We enlarged the rotor inertia 28 %, added variable-offset mounts and opened the discharge hood 15 %. The result is a skid steer forestry mulcher that is suitable to clearing the trees of hills—safely, quickly and profitably.”
Key performance points
Cutting width: 1,525 mm (60 in) standard; 1,830 mm (72 in) optional
Rotor speed: 2,200 rpm with four reversible carbide teeth per flight; 24-teeth standard, 32-teeth high-density option
Slope rating: 45° tested on 100 m continuous incline; side-shift frame keeps carrier level while head follows contour
Throughput: 0.8–1.2 ha/hr on typical 15 cm mixed hardwood; 20 cm max diameter
Weight: 1,480 kg (60 in) / 1,670 kg (72 in) with universal Bob-Tach and Case/John Deere adapters included
Protection: 8 mm Hardox 450 hood; 5 mm AR400 wrapper; integrated push bar and 40 mm anti-curling skid shoes
Maintenance: hinged rear door, grease banks grouped on LH side, tool-less tooth change <5 min per tooth
Hill-clearing advantages
Unlike excavator mulchers that require an additional low-boy transport, the ROADLOVIN head moves on the same skid-steer trailer that carries pallet forks, buckets or a soil conditioner—cutting mobilization cost by 35 %. At the site, the operator simply couples the mulcher, engages high-flow hydraulics (110–140 L/min @ 350 bar) and climbs the hill. The high-inertia drum stores kinetic energy, preventing rpm drop in dense thickets and reducing hydraulic heat load on the carrier.
Real-world results
In October 2025, Sichuan-based contractor ShanYe Service cleared 120 ha of eucalyptus and Chinese fir on 35° terrain to create fire breaks above a power-line corridor. Using two ROADLOVIN heads on 90 hp skid steers, the crew finished 11 days ahead of schedule and saved USD 42,000 in labour compared with chainsaw/manual chipping. Post-project GIS analysis showed 96 % fuel-load reduction and <3 % soil disturbance.
