A skidsteer loader (often shortened to “skid steer”) is a small, engine-powered machine with lift arms that can accept dozens of different tools or attachments (accessories). It has no traditional steering axle; instead, the left and right wheels or tracks are driven at different speeds to “skid” the machine around, letting it turn almost in its own length. This zero-radius turn and its 3–4 tonne size make it ideal for tight construction, landscaping, agricultural and industrial sites.
