The rear-wheel drive three-point counterbalanced electric forklift is a type of electric forklift whose rear wheels serve both as drive wheels and steering wheels. This type of forklift has a smaller axle load on the rear wheels because the load is at the front. Therefore, the motor power required by the drive system is small, the structure is simple, and a smaller turning radius can be obtained.
3 wheel forklift truck structure has the following advantages:(1) The front overhang of the entire vehicle has been shortened. For the same tonnage, the required counterweight is light, the overall vehicle length is shortened, the turning radius is reduced, and the maneuverability is good.
(2) When the cargo is in operation, the mast leans backward and the wheelbase is elongated. The stability has been enhanced, allowing drivers to operate forklifts more safely and smoothly.
(3) The traction performance is more superior because as the track length increases, the center of gravity shifts backward. When the load on the rear wheels increases and the full-load mast tilts backward, the load on the rear wheels can increase to about 54% of the original full-load load on the rear wheels. Since the load on the rear wheels is within a relatively small range, the traction force is determined by the adhesion force of the rear wheels. The increase in the load on the rear wheels undoubtedly improves the traction performance.
(4) Increase the working hours of each shift. Due to the small counterweight, the overall machine weight is light, which can save energy.
When the wheelbase is shortened, it can improve maneuverability and increase the utilization of storage space. Forklifts with this structural form can work in narrower aisles than those of other forms.
